October 6th - The DisAbilities Expo Main Event OVER 60 EXHIBITORS / VENDORS / FASHION SHOW / EDUCATIONAL FORUMS / CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES /ENTERTAINMENT / SPORTS / FUN & GAMES / DEMONSTRATIONS / HONORED GUESTS AND PRIZES! This event provides an amazing opportunity to have fun and also learn about services, resources, products and information for persons of all ages with any disability! Saturday's Main Event is FREE and open to the public! Time: 10am-4pm Featuring: Inspiration Runway! In honor of Disabilities Awareness week, this runway show features touching stories from models with disabilities.Enjoy light refreshments and learn that there's more to life than fashion! Located in the Alvin Sherman Library, immediately following the ceremony, join us as we honor community advocates through the Broward County's Advisory Board for Individuals with Disabilities. October 15, 2012- White Cane Safety Day White Cane Safety Day celebrates the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired. This annual event is to raise awareness of the meaning of the white cane and of the need for motorists to exercise special care for those who carry it. Call 954-442-1855 for details. Watch the video!
